Why I keep a public trading build log

Published

For years I’ve designed and run my own trading algorithms on futures. Until now I did it quietly. From today I keep the build log in public.

What you’ll find here

  • How a strategy is built. The idea, the backtest, the walk-forward, parameter stability, Monte Carlo. Including when a strategy fails the tests, which happens a lot.
  • How the portfolio is put together. Different styles, instruments and durations, and why at some point a strategy gets retired.
  • The real results. The equity line and closed trades from the live account, published at least three days later.
  • The tooling. Automation, data pipelines, trade bookkeeping.

What you’ll never find

  • Open positions, or trades before they’ve closed.
  • Calls on what to buy, sell or hold, or forecasts on any instrument.
  • A ready-to-copy system with exact rules and parameters. The method yes, the recipe no.
  • Paid signals, copy trading, a paid community or affiliate links.

Why closed trades only

An equity curve is easy to dress up. So every trade is published only after it closes, and each month the result is checked against the broker statement. If there’s a gap, you’ll see it.

The rest I’ll share as it happens, in videos recorded without a script.
